One basic idea is that a system is sustainable if it survives and endures in the long term [1].
The company Brötje Schaumtechnik GmbH & Co. KG has existed very successfully since 1960. As early as 1996, we were one of the first companies in Germany to adopt the environmental concept in our actions and were certified in accordance with the eco-audit at that time.
The corporate guidelines that characterize our company were developed together with our employees over the course of time and every employee is committed to acting accordingly.
We have gone through several forms of certification in recent years and have ultimately stuck with DIN EN ISO 14001:2015 because this standard enables us to guarantee the monitoring and further development of our production and products.

- We produce articles that have as little impact as possible on the environment during manufacture, use and disposal
- We make our production safe for people and the environment
- We continuously improve our formulations and develop special technical solutions to give our customers a competitive edge
- We purchase responsibly
- We produce exclusively in Germany (Rastede)
HEALTH
- We only use the highest quality raw materials from certified, well-known manufacturers in Europe for our products.
- We comply not only with the statutory EU and international guidelines, but also with the much more critical requirements of our customers, who set their own standards (e.g. CADS).
- Regular occupational medical examinations and continuous workplace assessments ensure the health of our employees in the workplace.

The topic of sustainability has reached all customers, suppliers and consumers. In general, it can be said that many companies set very different priorities due to the possible interpretations. For example, some companies pay particular attention to social aspects, while others focus on the careful use of resources.
For Brötje Schaumtechnik GmbH & Co. KG, it is important to continuously scrutinize the various processes and their procedures. We now know that environmental thinking is a good approach to conserving resources and promoting innovation in the long term.
